Cinque Terre Boat Tour from La Spezia

From La Spezia Centrale, the whole Cinque Terre coastline is twenty minutes away — and the boat is waiting at the far end of it.

La Spezia is the natural base for exploring the Cinque Terre, and reaching Ghibli is simple: direct regional trains run from La Spezia Centrale to Monterosso all day, taking around twenty minutes. You ride the length of the national park by rail, then see it all again — properly — from the water.

Getting here

From La Spezia Centrale, take any Cinque Terre-bound regional train to Monterosso (the last stop of the five villages, ~20 minutes). Molo dei Pescatori is a five-minute seafront walk from the station. Aim for a train forty minutes before departure and you will board unhurried.

The full loop

Guests from La Spezia often choose the Portovenere day tour: it sails the entire Cinque Terre and continues into the Gulf of Poets — Byron’s Grotto, Palmaria’s Blue Grotto and time ashore in Portovenere — before returning to Monterosso. You see everything the train showed you, from the side it was always meant to be seen.

Times that fit the trains

Morning private tours depart from 09:00, and the shared sunset sailing leaves at 18:00 — both line up comfortably with the regional timetable in each direction.
